When you use the Muzy Effects app, you have a choice of frames to add to your image. Let’s take a look at the frame options and what they add to your pic. The frame option is separate from the other effects. You can only add one frame to your picture. If you change the frame, it takes off the old frame. The frame you’ve chosen appears at the bottom of the list of effects, and the other effects don’t change the frame. The first frame is the Instant frame, and it makes your pic look like an instant photo.

Muzy has rolled out its Video app. It’s time to find all those funny videos you’ve seen recently on YouTube, or make some of your own, and post them to your Muzy. It’s simple. Just click on the Video app, and type or paste in the URL of a video on YouTube. As soon as you put in the URL, it will show you a preview of the movie. You can add a title, note, and tags if you wish.

Just click post, and you can see the video on Muzy. Look for more video options and features coming in the future!

You may have seen the Muzy Comic app… it’s a step-up from the old captioning app and gives you more flexibility in adding words to your pictures. Ah, one does not simply publish their items anymore! There are so many options to customize and save your work before it gets released into the wild Savannah of Muzy to fend for itself. Observe the image above.
To the left is a field to type in the title of your work. From there you have the option to post it immediately as it is as well as a second option to post to Facebook, or you may save a draft if you are not quite done. Saving drafts is great for those who’s computers frequently crash, and you can always find them to the right of the Muzy homepage feed.

Now is the time for fun and games on Muzy. Muzy’s new stretch editor allows you to distort, twist, and swirl your images for funny and impressive effects. The stretch tool lets you stretch out items so that they look bulbous, pinch them in so that they look small, or do any combination of stretching and pushing so that the items take on a distorted shape. "Untitled" by Riff shows an excellent use of brushes to render convincing hair.
Drawing hair may seem pretty intimidating at first when you consider how many strands are just in a handful of it! But the trick to drawing hair is NOT drawing it strand by strand. Break a mass into small chunks and it’s much easier to handle.
It’s not necessary to draw every little detail in hair, sometimes even a few rough strokes is completely acceptable! But it does not always seem convenient to draw hair when all you have is a blunt, round brush. But don’t worry, that can be remedied! Read the rest of this entry »

The new Muzy Sidebar.
The new sidebar you see at the right of your Muzy homepage feed will give you a tally of your stats, drafts, recently created items, the friends you’ve added, and Muzy users who have added you. It also allows you access to inviting friends from outside of Muzy and the ability to find more friends!

People are interested in your work! At the top of the sidebar, you’ll see clickable areas listing the number of people who have added you as a friend along with an blue notification of how many new people have done so. Under this is a count of people you have added as a friends and will receive updates on your feed from. Finding friends on Muzy is a simple a matter of browsing or searching the site!

Maybe you just want to find a new artist to follow, or just are looking for somebody you already know who has joined. Either way, it’s exciting to meet people and be inspired by them at Muzy!
On your main and ‘For Me’ feeds, there will be a small button off to the right side that will allow you to browse creative members’ work that may be of great interest to you!
Once you click ‘Find more friends’, it will lead you to a page of friends of friends. Chances are, if you already have friends with similar interests to your own, this will be a very useful area for you.
